Greg Docherty made his full debut at Hibernian on Sunday and the young Rangers loanee truly shone as his team dispatched BSC Glasgow in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.Not only did he make his full debut but the 23-year-old central midfielder also bagged a goal and provided two great assists to his tally on the night as well.Needless to say, many Rangers fans who are still following their loanee’s ventures at Hibs were thoroughly impressed, praising him on Twitter in response to the player’s post in the aftermath of proceedings.
But the general verdict from many fans seems to be that his display simply proves that Rangers will be getting an incredibly talented player once he returns to Ibrox at the end of his loan spell.
And they simply cannot wait for that to happen as the young lad seems like one for the future…
Funnily enough, one fan even stated that the green and white colours don’t suit Docherty whatsoever.
Maybe it just reminds them of Celtic a bit too much, who knows.
Finally, one fan just hopes that the 23-year-old will be rewarded when he returns to his parent club.
Judging by his latest performance, Steven Gerrard will be pleased with the progress he is making away from the club.
Meanwhile, Allan McGregor and James Tavernier paid tribute to Kenny Miller on Instagram…
