da apostaganha： Wigan striker Callum McManaman says that it will be a dream come true to play at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-final.
da dobrowin： The Latics booked a spot in the last four of the competition with a well-earned 3-0 victory against Everton at Goodison Park.
McManaman, who scored the second goal of the game, is relishing the chance to play at the national stadium, and s hopeful that his form throughout the tournament will guarantee him a spot in Roberto Martinez’s XI:
“You dream of it as a kid and I can’t wait for it now. Most games I’ve scored so I’ve enjoyed the FA Cup. It is a special competition and everyone is up for it.” He is quoted by Sky Sports.
“We just have to keep going because if we get to the final anything can happen. I’d be disappointed if I’m not playing at Wembley.”
Wigan’s triumph was even sweeter for McManaman, who was released by Everton as a teenager.
The now 21-year-old moved the DW Stadium after being dropped by the Merseysiders to rebuild his career after the early blow.
McManaman revealed that is was heart-breaking to be given the elbow, but that he still looks out for his old club:
“I was there for nine years and was released when I was 15 and it broke my heart to be honest but I still look out for Everton’s results,
“I was gutted when it happened but you just have to get on with it.
“It was make or break when I left. I either packed it in or went and found another club and Wigan came knocking and I haven’t looked back.”
Wigan will face either Blackburn or Millwall in the semi-final, with a possible showpiece final against one of the Manchester City or United the reward for victory.
